This past weekend was the 2025 version of the Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo here in Minnesota. I have been attending this Expo almost every year since it began, usually as one of the fly tyers that occupy "Fly Tyers' Row", a wide hallway filled with tables where us tyers get to show off our skills for show attendees. That's exactly what I was doing this year.

My set-up when I tie at events like the Expo. This is actually from last year, but everything is still the same, except for the number of grey whiskers in my beard... |
On Saturday I tied up some size 16 Midwest Sulphur parachutes, along with a few dozen size 18 BWO Spotlight Emergers. On Sunday I finished up a couple more dozen of the Emergers, then I took some time to walk around the main floor of the Expo, and hobnob with old friends and new acquaintances.

I also managed to test-cast an expensive rod that felt much nicer than I was expecting but is too expensive for me to consider purchasing, sell a rod from my quiver, and add a rod to my quiver. It was a fun weekend! And, it all made me want to get out and do some fishing! I am juiced! Or at least it makes me want to tAke a rod out in the front yard and do some casting... If I choose the latter option, it will have the added benefit of continuing to make my neighbors think I'm a little cuckoo, which is never a bad thing...
